When we founded this organization, we founded it on an underlying principal of zero waste. We wanted to ensure that every dollar donated is used to fund the project and not an employee salary. Although their contributions can never be undervalued, many charities continue to only distribute as low as 40% of their collected money. And so, we have created an elaborate system that enables us to fund projects with 100% efficiency while additionally giving the donator an option to redeem his original contributed amount, leaving us both the interest and appreciated value of his donation. In fact, we believe that our system will forever change the way charities collect money, moving from the term “donation” to “investment”.

As stated throughout this website, our charity was founded on the belief that micro-finance is the future of the non-profit industry. The ability to enable a potential donator to receive his initial donation back, we believe, is one of the most revolutionary concepts to date. However, to ensure that charitable contributions are not wasted, we have developed a similar type of investment scheme for both for and non-profit institutions to contribute to and fund our expenses while gaining relatively inexpensive advertizing. And so our structure is broken down as follows:

We collect a minimum of $25 from a household investor (This is the common person who donates). That money is pooled together and is invested in short term risk adverse Canadian fixed income securities.

At the end of the year, we take the interest earned from this fund and use it to fund our educational programs, leaving you: the investor, the ability to withdraw your 25$ at the end of the year. Because we are intent on donating 100% of the interest accumulated from your dollar, we developed a mirror fund that is used to seek corporate investment to fund our expenses which is also fully redeemable.

Through all this, we can accumulate a solid foundation of capital to improve and complement the educational infrastructure in Canada and throughout the world. It is our mission to empower and equip as many individuals with the opportunities to discover and develop their talents. It is our belief that education is the single most important investment to alleviate poverty, racism, and many other social, environmental, and economical issues.
